Piping-Discipline lead

Lead the Piping Design & Modeling team supporting clients’ steam and power generation EPC projects across North America. Ensure high-pressure steam piping, process piping, and plant utility systems are designed to US codes with precision and efficiency. Requirements Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering • 15-18 years in piping design for power generation, oil & gas, chemical, or heavy industrial projects • Minimum 5 years in supervisory/lead role managing piping design teams • Experience with US projects or US code compliance (ASME B31.1/B31.3) Technical Skills • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D (3D modeling, P&ID integration, isometric generation) • Strong knowledge of ASME B31.1 (Power Piping) and B31.3 (Process Piping) • Understanding of high-pressure steam systems, condensate systems, and plant utilities • Familiarity with pipe stress analysis concepts and support design • Ability to read and interpret US-style P&IDs, PFDs, and equipment drawings Core Competencies • Proven ability to deliver complex piping designs on schedule • Strong coordination skills working across disciplines and geographies • Detail-oriented with commitment to zero-defect deliverables • Comfortable working in US imperial units and measurement conventions • Excellent communication skills for interfacing with US-based teams Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Caesar II or AutoPIPE for pipe stress analysis • Background in power boilers, HRSGs, steam turbine plants, or co-generation facilities • Knowledge of NFPA codes for fuel gas piping and fire protection systems • Exposure to US construction practices and installation sequences
